What is Sheet Metal Fabrication?
Sheet metal processing is a comprehensive cold processing technology for metal sheets, which covers a series of technologies such as cutting, stamping, bending, welding, riveting and surface treatment.
The main steps include:
1. Drawing design: The customer provides drawings or samples, and the company’s engineers measure, design, and expand the dimensions to form a processing decomposition diagram and assembly diagram and submit them to the production department for processing.
2. Cutting: Cutting is carried out by laser cutting or CNC stamping. Laser cutting has the advantages of neat, smooth and beautiful cross-sections and precise dimensions after workpiece processing.
3. Bending: If the workpiece needs to be bent after cutting, a computer bending machine is used for fast and accurate processing.
4. Welding: After the workpiece is cut, it generally needs to be assembled and formed. Argon arc welding, butt welding, carbon dioxide welding and other methods are often used. After welding, the workpiece is polished.
5. Surface treatment: Such as electrostatic powder spraying or liquid paint treatment, to make the surface of the workpiece beautiful and rust-proof.
6. Packaging and shipment: 100% inspection and provision of inspection data, packaging method confirmed by the customer.
