There are many kinds of surface treatments commonly used in the machining industry, including but not limited to the following:
- Anodizing: An electrochemical oxidation reaction, commonly used for aluminum alloys, to form a protective film and increase aesthetics.
- Electroplating: Using the principle of electrolysis to attach a layer of metal film to the surface of parts, improving rust resistance and finish. Powder spraying: Similar to spraying paint, using discharge to make powder coatings adhere to parts, providing a variety of color options.
- Polishing: Using mechanical or chemical effects to reduce the surface roughness of parts to achieve a bright and smooth effect. Other surface
- Other treatments: Also includes bluing, blackening, phosphating, spraying, coloring, baking varnish, impregnation, sandblasting and other processes.
